Hello. This is PLEDIS Entertainment. We would like to provide the following information on the official activities of NU’EST member REN. On the evening of Tuesday, December 14, it was discovered that REN had been in close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case, and underwent PCR testing on Wednesday, December 15 with a negative result. REN did not have any contact with the other members of NU’EST after the evening of Tuesday the 14th. All the members of NU’EST completed their second round of COVID-19 vaccinations in early November. As a result, they are able to engage in their normal activities with a negative PCR test result even if they came into close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case. In addition, REN is currently showing no signs of possible infection such as fever or respiratory issues. However, REN entered into self-quarantine on his own initiative on Wednesday the 15th out of concern for the health and safety of others around him, and will undergo additional PCR testing as directed by health authorities. As a result of these precautionary measures, REN will be unable to take part in the “2021 KBS Song Festival” scheduled for Friday, December 17, and NU’EST will go on stage with four members. We ask for your understanding. We will provide a separate notice once the timeline of REN’s return to official activities can be determined. Our company will continue to place our highest priority on artist safety, and diligently comply with the requests and guidelines from health authorities. Thank you. -- 안녕하세요. 플레디스 엔터테인먼트입니다. 뉴이스트 멤버 렌의 스케줄 관련해 안내드립니다. 렌이 12월 14일(화) 저녁, 코로나19 확진자와 접촉한 점이 확인됨에 따라 15일(수)에 즉시 PCR 검사를 받았고, 음성 판정을 받았습니다. 14일(화) 저녁 이후로 렌과 뉴이스트 멤버들의 접촉은 없었습니다. 뉴이스트 멤버 전원은 11월 초에 코로나19 백신 2차 접종을 마쳤습니다. 이에 따라 확진자와 접촉하더라도 PCR 검사 결과 음성이 나온 경우 외부 활동에는 제약이 없습니다. 또한 현재 렌에게 발열, 호흡기 질환 등 감염 의심 증상은 전혀 없습니다. 그럼에도 렌은 주변 분들의 건강과 안전을 고려해 15일(수)부터 자발적으로 자가격리 중이며, 이후 보건소의 조치에 따라 PCR 검사도 추가로 받을 예정입니다. 이에 17일(금) 진행 예정인 ‘2021 KBS 가요대축제’에 렌은 부득이하게 불참하며, 뉴이스트는 4인 체제로 무대에 오릅니다. 팬 여러분의 양해를 부탁드립니다. 렌의 활동 재개 일정은 확인되는 대로 별도 안내드리겠습니다. 당사는 앞으로도 아티스트의 안전을 언제나 최우선으로 고려하고, 방역 당국의 요청 및 지침을 성실히 준수하겠습니다. 감사합니다.
